Changes to my study program
if I could change the curriculum of the visual arts career, I would modify it mainly from the second year onwards. I consider that the first year works correctly since it teaches the visual language and gradually approaches the basic knowledge that one must have, in terms of color, form, composition, drawing, media, etc. However, in the second year, in addition to the drawing and theoretical courses, there are three instrumental workshops. In my case, and in the case of some of my classmates, we opted for workshops that we did not necessarily like at all, but to fit the schedule of these, I think this should not happen. My solution is to have more workshops on the same course so that we can choose correctly. As for infrastructure we have not really participated in this, because almost two years of pandemic followed by a strike has not allowed us to occupy the facilities. But from what colleagues from previous generations say it is quite decadent, the school of visual arts is old and there are things that have stopped working optimally, lack of tools and machines necessary for the execution of work, for example. The teaching methods are quite varied, I would say that they depend absolutely on the teacher of the workshop, this is something positive once you know the teacher. Today more than ever technology has helped us to develop our training, I think that from now on the use of digital platforms should no longer be a limitation, for some academics it still is, I suggest that the university constantly train their academics in this area.
training teachers in technological subjects would be great, I imagine very interesting and original things would emerge in the visual arts.
