THE BEST HOLIDAYS

     I didn't travel a lot in my life but once my sister and I had "the trip" of ours lives probably, we don´t know yet. We went to Taiwan in the summer of 2016, that time I was fifteen, and my sister seventeen. This trip was so not planned, what happened was that at the school I made a friend Chilean-Taiwanese, she is one of my besties, and at the grade of my sister, there was another Chilean-Taiwanese boy, a family friend of my friend family, so confusing.  My family and your family are pretty close. One day they say to us that they will be going to travel to Taiwan and if we, my sister and I want to come with them. We had been there almost two months without our parents, too much for two teenagers maybe. 

    We stay in New Taipei, it was a beautiful and so modern city, pretty loud. We went to museums, walk around the city, we spent Christmas and new year there, both of them, the occidental and the oriental. There Christmas it's not the big deal like here, actually, they didn't celebrate it. for the occidental new year, we went to see fireworks at the 101 Tower, I think that is one of the most taller towers in the world. It was so many people from different countries, that was stunning. 

    Form me was a memorable trip, one because we were almost alone in the other extreme of the world, even that my friend helped us to communicate with other people (they speak mandarine Chinese) sometimes we had get out alone and we have to speak in English, a bad English! we have to prove to ourselves that we can do it, and we did it.

MY FUTURE JOB

  Usually change my mind over and over again but my idea of work always revolves around something similar, as every artist or almost every artist the dream is to make a living from art. From that idea and landing to reality I would like to have a collective workshop that works as an art and craft workshop where you can work personally or in projects with other people from different disciplines and also be a place where artists are formed from a less academic look and more from the trades. I believe that art comes from many places, that's why as individuals we must move from closed spaces, from the city, from movement, but also from nature, the outdoors and tranquility. I would love to be a kind of itinerant artist, to create from different places, capturing different visions of the world in my work. I would not really like to work as an employee of someone in particular, I prefer work independence even if it means economic instability. In the future I would love to take a major in ...

What is your opinion about tattoos?      I really like the tattoo culture. I think that it`s an artistic expression like everyone one else. It seems to me that in the past time tattoos were viewed as some of the marginal people, it was a mark on your body which define you as a criminal or like part of a group of people, like a band. Today it's pretty common to see tattooed people on the street, and every kind of person brings tattoos on themselves, even at the public service. It's absolutely fine for to me decide to tattoo doesn't matter what your work is, and I believe that anyone can discriminate against you because of a physical and superficial mark on your body.  What is your opinion about recycling?      To me, recycling right now isn't enough. Maybe some years ago it was fine but today I believe that it's the last step when we decide to care for the planet. If we put the "three r" in order of relevance it will be REUSE-REDUCE-RECYCLE. TIME TRAVEL TO THE PAST OR TO THE FUTURE

     I wouldn't really like to travel back in time, I think the world in some ways has never worked better and the future doesn't look very promising, but if I had the opportunity to travel in a time machine I would prefer to go back in time, probably to the Middle Ages. Despite the risks I would run for being a woman at that time I would like to be able to visit such a context and implement ideas of the future (my present) about gender, the role of women, the eradication of slavery, and somehow accelerate the processes and social changes that have taken centuries. Obviously I would not like to go alone, the best thing for such a trip would be to go with a large group of people, with different qualities and from different disciplines. Together we could make a very discreet anonymous society so as not to be caught and thus be able to spread revolutionary ideas for the time, it would be a pamphlet movement to which anyone who wants could join. this trip would be only to ful...
